Admission Requirements

Applicants will be reviewed for admission to the Master of Arts in Art Education Distance Education Program based on the strength of their ability for graduate study based on the following criteria:

• Completion of a baccalaureate degree in Studio Art OR Art Education from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Completion of the online graduate school application for the College of Fine Arts at Boston University
• Submission of two letters of recommendation
• Submission of current resume
• Submission of a two-page statement of purpose indicating goals in pursuing a graduate degree
• Online upload of Artistic Portfolio including:
  • Samples of your artwork (Minimum of 10; Maximum of 20)
  • Applicants with teaching experience:
    -Samples of students’ artwork preferred (Minimum of 5; Maximum of 10)
• Submission of official transcripts from all schools attended
